Social Networks

These are ways of getting in contact with other SVWUX participants.

Networking sites operated by SVWUX

Email List

The most active channel for SVWUX communications is the SVWUX email list. Subscribe to participate. Traffic level varies from quiet to moderate.

SVWUX Wiki

This wiki web site is one way to use SVWUX's web server without waiting for a webmaster to post new material or install new software. But we can also use the web server in other creative ways besides the wiki. Speak up if you have ideas or suggestions (use the email list).

SVWUX IRC Chatroom

SVWUX has registered the #svwux channel on chat.us.freenode.net to aid in club-related discussions. The room is open to the public.

Networking sites operated by commercial entities**

LinkedIn

SVWUX attracts knowledgeable people with various interesting professional backgrounds. At our meetings, you are quite likely to meet someone relevant to your career. To track these connections, join the SVWUX Group on LinkedIn.

Facebook

An SVWUX Facebook group was formed in January 2009. This should make it easier to share photos and other media, see who is coming to meetings, etc.

**A note of caution about posting SVWUX material on commercial web sites

Any materials required for participation in an SVWUX project or anything which SVWUX has a responsibility to keep private should only be handled through our own server at svwux.org. Posting photos or documents on a commercial web site grants certain rights to that company that need to be considered. Those rights can potentially change unfavorably, sometimes without notice, particularly in the event the company is acquired.
