Meeting Attendees

Old Business
The Villages Tour
Good sight-lines but other difficulties. This will be an off-grid installation, therefore it will be down the priority list a bit.
eCLIC Meeting
Very Impressive group. Very impressive meeting.
New Business
The Power System Requirements
Do we want to aim for off-grid power systems for those repeater sites where it makes sense? YES
Backbone technology
What technology do we want to use for our backbone? The answer is: everything. We don't wan too much crazy-ness, but we don't want uniformity either.
Part 15 vs Part 97
Do we want the EWN to be all Part 15, all Part 97, or a mix? The answer is: Part 15 as much as possible and part 97 when we need to. Use VLANS and routing policies to keep Part 97 links unused until an emergency but have those Part 97 links up & under testing 24/7.
Completely Open or Completely Closed
Not completely decided. If we do multiple SSIDs then we can have 1 SSID open and others closed and use
QoS? to give certain SSIDs priority. It might depend on VLANS and routing policies too.
eCLIC Collaboration
Do we want to try harder to collaborate with eCLIC? No.
Free old UPS batteries
We want to collect them. William will call Steve Rubin and arrange it.
Status of Repeater sites
First priority is both the San Jose EOC and Estrada Mountain.
New Project Ideas
